Hi, I am Sylvie

I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, exploring everything from traditional sketchbooks to digital painting. But as technology continues to evolve, I find myself drawn back to the tangible beauty of traditional art.

For me, nothing compares to the richness, depth, and texture of oil paint, it brings an irreplaceable life and warmth to portraits of our animal companions.

My love for animals runs deep. I often plan my travels around observing wildlife in their natural habitats, from watching grey whales in ocean lagoons to tracking wolves in mountain valleys. Yet, some of the most meaningful subjects I paint are the cats and dogs right at home. Pets hold such a special place in our lives, and an oil portrait is a timeless way to celebrate their unique character and hold onto those precious memories forever.

If you have a pet you’d love to honour or remember in oils, I’d be delighted to paint them for you. Reach out today, and we can discuss your favourite photo and how best to capture your pet’s personality on canvas.
